🐐 “Handcrafted on the Homestead — From Happy Goats to Glowing Skin”
Welcome to the Secret Farmstead
Shhh... your skin doesn’t need to know it came from a goat.
Tucked away somewhere between "middle of nowhere" and "can't get there without GPS," the Secret Farmstead is where real skincare magic happens. We’re talking natural ingredients, goat milk from our actual goats (yes, they have names), plants we grew ourselves, and recipes passed down with just a touch of rural mischief.
Our products are handcrafted in small batches, stirred with love (and coffee), and free from the nonsense you can’t pronounce. No weird chemicals. No unicorn tears. Just wholesome, rustic skincare that actually works — and smells better than your cousin’s cologne.
Because when your products come from a place where the goats are spoiled, the plants are sung to, and every batch is made with muddy boots and good intentions… your skin can tell the difference.

Our shop
Legendary Lather. Mysterious Origins. Unreasonably Soft Skin.
At the Secret Farmstead, we take our lather seriously — almost too seriously. (Our goats have opinions. The chickens hold meetings.)
Using farm-fresh ingredients like luxurious goat milk, wholesome tallow, and herbs that definitely didn’t come from aisle 9 at the grocery store, we’ve unlocked the secret to rich, creamy lather and conditioning so good, your skin might send a thank-you note.
It’s not magic. It’s just ridiculously good skincare made in small batches by people who smell like soap 90% of the time and love it.
So if you’ve ever wondered what happens when a little farm wisdom, some pampered goats, and a deep love of suds come together in a soap pot — this is it. Your shower routine just got upgraded... country-style.

About Us
Welcome to our Secret Farmstead—shhh, don’t tell the HOA. We’re a humble little farmette tucked into the Belton area, complete with a 3-dog security team of Cane Corsos… managed by a 7-pound PomChi who thinks she’s the CEO (and honestly, she kind of is). We’ve got a couple of acres, but thanks to deed restrictions, livestock is technically a no-no—hence our name. Fortunately, our neighbors are more into free eggs and goat milk than tattling.
Like many unsuspecting suburbanites, our descent into homesteading madness began innocently—with chickens. That gateway bird led straight to the dark arts of sourdough, and soon Big Bertha (my very dramatic starter) was born. After that, it was a slippery slope of DIY everything. If it goes in or on my body, I probably tried to make it from scratch.
Then came soap. I couldn’t justify spending $8+ on a bar of handmade soap, so I thought, “Why not just make it myself?” (Spoiler alert: it turned into a full-blown obsession.) I roped my friends and their families into being guinea pigs for each batch like a bubbly-skinned focus group. I started with a classic cold-process olive oil soap, then got fancy with grass-fed tallow.
I really wanted to try goat milk soap because of its skincare benefits, but couldn’t find a local source—so naturally, we bought goats. Nigerian dwarf goats, to be exact. And because timing is everything, Mama goat gave birth to twins during a literal freeze in January. My husband MacGyvered a milking stanchion out of scrap wood, and I taught myself to milk—a humbling, squirmy experience that taught me goats don’t care about your personal space.
Once the babies were weaned, I got to work making my dream goat milk soap. Friends started raving about how it helped with their kids’ eczema, and next thing I knew, I was planting luffa gourds so I could add “exfoliating soap artisan” to my accidental résumé.
I never meant to start a soap business—it just sort of lathered into existence. Now here we are: crafting high-quality, affordable soaps with ingredients we (and our goats) are proud of.
